Yesterday 10 March, Columbian author Juan Gabriel Vásquez opened the first Passa Porta Seminar on "The Time of the Author" with a keynote answering the question "How does the writer relate to the news that he or she never entirely has under control, the news that we call "current affairs", "today's world" and "our time"?
